There are a few things you should do before we sit down for a design consultation.

Have a good idea of how much you want to spend on your new kitchen.
To help us guide you to the most appropriate ranges of units, appliances and worktops it's important that we know your budget.

Understand the use of your kitchen.
Who uses it, how is it used, what are its shortcomings and plus points. 
Do you have requirements for laundry as well as cooking? Do you entertain? 
Try to consider all the times the kitchen is used on a daily basis, it's a busy hub.
Perhaps re-arranging the layout will make it work better for you.
Don't forget that moving appliances such as sinks, hobs, extractors and washing machines will be expensive.

Think about your wish list.
Kitchen range and colour(s).
Storage areas.
Carcass colour, particularly if you are having painted doors.
Plinth colour.
Cornice and light pelmets. There may be a choice of designs.
Worktops have a big effect on costs and installation times. Choose from Quartz, Laminate, Timber, Corian, engineered stone and acrylics, glass, granite.
Splashbacks - stainless steel, glass or quite often it can be matched to your worktop.
Sinks come in many different materials and finishes, one, one and a half or two bowl, left hand or right hand drainer. Undermount or inset.
Taps -finishes, controls and functions.
Lighting - internal and external unit lighting, plinth lighting.
Appliances - ovens, hobs, extractors, dishwashers, refrigeration All these are constantly improving and evolving with technology - have a look round the showroom, take some brochures away to find out what's available and how your life can be made easier going forward.
